Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving Tablescape

I would much rather decorate than cook!!!  Now if I could only figure out how to get out of cooking…. 🙂

I usually get my Thanksgiving Tablescape decorations out as early as I can.  Usually by the end of the summer, I’m ready for fall and all that it brings with it.  This is just a quick sampling of our Thanksgiving table.

Thanksgiving Tablescape

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Let the thanks continue and the eating begin!!  Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. Just think of cooking as ‘creating’ ‘decorating’ or ‘crafting’ with food, maybe that will help it be more fun? I do not like cooking nor am I good at it, maybe that’s why I don’t like it?? i’m the one who gets invited to dinner and asked to bring the ‘rolls’. I love cooking ‘in’ pumpkins, but a few years ago my son-in-law asked me ‘not’ to bring ‘that pumpkin thing’ anymore (he sent msg through my daughter). haha..thus now delegated the ‘rolls’. Enjoy your day, I’m certain it will be delicious! 🙂

Good try Kim. I’ve had other people try and convince me of this too, but sadly, it just doesn’t work. I would rather the kitchen just stay clean, and me spend my creative time on something that will last more than 15 minutes. 🙂
I hope your Thanksgiving day and dinner was excellent. Maybe I need to use your tactic… make everything taste horrible so I’m ASKED not to cook. 😉
    Thanks!

  4. That is beautiful! I always have a hard time decorating because there are so many small ones in our family right now – hard for them to see over centerpieces!

I can understand that. I usually decorate my table early in the fall and just leave it. When it’s time to eat, some of the decorations have to come off. It’s really more for ME during the fall, so I can have a pretty table to look at.
